Kapil broke after the death of his father: Kapil Sharma was born on 2 April 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab. He still has a house in Ranjit Avenue E block. His father was employed as the head constable in the police. Mother Janak is a housewife. His father died of cancer in 2004. This incident emotionally broke Kapil. After which he took all the responsibilities on himself. He was getting a father's job but refused to take it. After which Kapil's elder brother Ashok joined the police instead of his father.

Worked in PCO: Mother Janak Rani says that Kapil started work from a PCO in Amritsar. Kapil completed his studies at Hindu College, Amritsar. He completed primary education from PBN Senior Secondary School. Further studies were done in Hindu Sabha School. Kapil moved to Mumbai after graduation. After the death of his father, it was Kapil who took over the responsibility of the family and managed it well.

Starting with a small comedy show: According to media reports, Kapil Sharma started his career with MH One comedy show 'Hansde Hansande Rao'. He got his first big break as 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge'. Kapil gave his first audition for season 3 in Amritsar, but he did not succeed there. He then went to Delhi to audition, he was selected here. But now Kapil is wooing his fans with his own show, 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.
