Chandigarh: The third phase of Covaxin trial has started in Haryana. Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij was given the first dose of vaccine at the civil hospital in Ambala Cantt. Before giving the Corona vaccine, the team collected their samples for anti-body and RTPCR investigations. The team included Dr Dhruv Chaudhary, State Nodal Officer of Coronavirus, Dr. Savita Verma, Principal Investigator of Research, Dr Ramesh Verma, Co-Investigator, Nursing Staff and LT Staff.

Phase III trials of covaxine PGIMS started in Rohtak, Hyderabad and Goa. Under this, 200-200 volunteers in all three institutions will be given the vaccine dose from today ie Friday. This dose will be 6-6 mg. The second dose will be given 28 days after the first dose and 48 days later the antibodies will be examined in the volunteers' body. On getting the right results, this dose will be given to a total of 25,800 volunteers in 21 identified institutions across the country.

This information was given by Dr OP Kalra, Vice-Chancellor of PGI on Wednesday. They reported that the risks of Covaxin are extremely low. In the research so far, two volunteers had mild fever and pain in place of vaccine. All our volunteers are healthy and no one has yet reported corona infection.
