Chandigarh: 622 doses of corona vaccine stolen from a hospital in Jind, Haryana. According to media reports, a biker left a bag at the tea shop outside the civil line police station. When it was opened, it contained vaccine supplements. At the same time, the thief had left an apology that read, "Sorry, I didn't know corona medicine".

According to reports, the plastic bag contained 440 doses of covaxin and 182 doses of covishield. However, this does not seem to put an end to the police's troubles as 1710 doses of the vaccine were stolen from the hospital. Police are now trying to recover the remaining dose. The theft case pertains to PP Centre General Hospital in Jind district. 1270 doses of covishield and 440 doses of covaxin were stolen from the storeroom. According to media reports, there was not a single corona vaccine left in the district after the incident.

After the theft, the center in charge had said, "I will also check my main center from where the supply goes to the entire district. I will also inform the authorities". Jind Health Inspector Rammehar Verma had said that the vaccine theft was carried out by breaking the lock at night. Some files kept in the storeroom cupboard were also stolen. But the thief did not even touch other medicines and Rs.50,000 kept there.
