On August 15, 17, 21, 25 and 29, before the bomb blasts, the officials of Ambala Airforce Station received a letter threatening to blow up Delhi, Ayodhya and Ambala Air Force stations. In which it is written that 15 people are involved in this conspiracy, whose mastermind is Rajesh Vaishya, resident of Jalandhar Ramamandi. The mobile number mentioned in the letter is not disclosed.

It has been written in the letter that 25 crores have been allotted by Pakistan. The sender has identified himself as Detective Monica. It is written in the letter that "The other terrorist is Shubham. He is a resident of Bilaspur. He owns a garment shop and also mentioned his mobile number. If I get information about other people, I will send it to you". Based on the letter, intelligence agencies have started an investigation.

It is also written "I am also sending this letter to CRPF, ITBP, CISF. Because some big police officers are also involved in it. They caught me and I ran away from there, during this time I got hurt, so I am writing with the opposite hand. I can also give my life to save my country. Please, Sir, pleading with you that you catch all of them, otherwise, they will try to infiltrate different cities, Jai Hind Sir Jai Bharat". The writer of the letter has claimed that "The people involved in this are Bablu Kumar who is retiring from the Army. The other one is Jai, he is also from the army. The third person Manish Jat and Pravin is also an army officer. These people are working together".
