Chandigarh: The cabinet of Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana is going to be expanded. The swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers is to be held on Tuesday at 4 pm. It is being told that this decision has been taken to appease the dissatisfied sections. Information regarding cabinet expansion has been given by Haryana CMO. However, it is not yet known which ministers are to be included in the Khattar cabinet.

This is the second cabinet expansion of the Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana. Earlier this year, on 14th November also, Manti Mandal was expanded. In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, BJP emerged as the single largest party, but could not get majority. After this, he formed the government in coalition with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). The BJP had single-handedly won 40 seats in the 90-seat assembly, while the Congress was second with 31 seats. JJP had won 10 seats. Thus BJP and JJP together have a total of 50 seats in the assembly.

This expansion is going to happen in the Haryana cabinet after the farmers' movement. It is believed that the BJP-led government will try to rectify the social equations through this and more representation can be given to the leaders of the Jat community. Let us tell you that this is the second consecutive term of the BJP government in Haryana. Earlier in 2014, BJP had got an absolute majority and even then Manohar Lal Khattar became the Chief Minister.
