Lucknow: Hathras gang rape victim died in Safdarjung Hospital in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. The victim was admitted in a hospital in Aligarh for the last two weeks then she was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. This incident of cruelty took place on 14 September.

It is alleged that four youths from a village under the police station Chandpa area of Hathras had cut her tongue after gang-raping a 19-year-old girl. The accused had also broken his spine after a gang-rape in the field. The police arrested an accused on September 14 after the incident. Police started arresting all the accused one by one after the politics started in the case. The fourth accused has been arrested by the police on Saturday itself. The line was also attached to the Kotwali Incharge on Saturday.

People from many political parties reached Aligarh JN Medical College and met the victim. Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Ravan on Sunday announced that he would come to meet the young woman admiral in Aligarh and later come to the village. On Sunday itself, BSP Chief Mayawati also tweeted. She spoke of the atrocities on women in the state. Describing the incident as shameful, she has demanded an inquiry from the UP government.
