New Delhi: The heat wave in the country's capital, Delhi, is yet to take the name of abating. The people of Delhi are once again facing the heat wave. According to the Met department, the maximum temperature has reached 44 degrees Celsius at many places in the country's capital. The Met department had already issued an alert for the heat wave on the weekend. 

The Met department believes that as soon as the western disturbances move away from Delhi, the heat wave has started prevailing in the entire NCR, including the capital. The maximum temperature has increased to 44 degrees celsius. However, the heat wave is expected to be relieved from Sunday. The Met department had issued a 'yellow alert' warning of heat wave at different places in Delhi on Saturday. According to the Safdarjung Observatory, the maximum mercury was predicted to reach 44 degrees Celsius. According to imd's forecast, the maximum temperature in Delhi may be 43 degrees Celsius on Sunday while on Monday i.e. June 6, it may be 41 degrees Celsius. 

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues warnings in four colours for weather alerts, which include Green (no action required), Yellow (view and stay updated), Orange (be prepared) and Red (take quick action).
