Andhra Pradesh: At least seven people died due to heavy downpour and flooding in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rains continued in the district since last two days and with that the district registered record rainfall.

As per the reports, about 7000 people have been relinquished from different parts of Guntur, as well as the National Disaster Response Force has been lead in to rescue those stranded to safety.

A high alert has been issued as the heavy rain hurled normal life out of gear in Guntur. The Guntur-Hyderabad highway was cut off due to flooding.
