New Delhi: The customs department at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has seized heroin worth Rs 7 crore from a Ugandan woman. Police have taken the woman into custody. The woman had arrived at IGI T3 from the Nairobi terminal by an Air India flight. When the police took the custody of the woman on the basis of suspicion, they found 69 capsules filled with heroin in her possession.

Customs duty officers at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport airport have achieved a major breakthrough. A Ugandan woman has also been detained here for smuggling heroin worth over Rs 7 crore into the country. 69 capsules containing heroin have also been seized from the woman. They weigh 946 grams.

In fact, the woman had arrived at IGI T3 from the Nairobi terminal on an Air India flight. The woman's expressions were suspicious to the customs ministry amid the security check. During the interrogation, the woman got a little nervous, after which the police decided to thoroughly examine her belongings. As soon as her luggage was checked, 69 capsules were recovered from her.

When these capsules were examined, the white coloured powder was also found inside them, which was fine quality heroin. According to the information, these days many cases of coming to India with intoxicating substances from Uganda are being heard. To avoid the security agencies, these gangs are now smuggling through women.
