Corona is increasingly making people with weak immunities a victim. In the ongoing situation to prevent lockdown and infection, this time is difficult for those breast cancer patients who have to undergo chemo or radiotherapy. Such patients should consult their doctor and opt for two to three weeks instead of taking therapy every week and avoid going to hospital more often.

Disease resistance is weak in breast cancer patients or people who have won the battle, so besides corona infection, the risk of other diseases increases. The risk on patients taking treatment for breast cancer increases when they have problems with other diseases. However, the risk of corona in breast cancer patients is only according to the infection status in the patient. If the breast cancer patient is infected with hypertension or diabetes, then the risk of infection increases compared to other patients.

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy also weakens the immune system. During radiotherapy, breast cancer patients have to go to hospital more, so they should adopt all measures to avoid infection. The kind of scenario that is before us, in such a situation, it will take time to calm the outbreak of Covid-19. But treatment of disease like cancer cannot be avoided for long. It is important to give timely treatment to the patients with severe stage breast cancer, so that the infection does not become too much. Instead of giving chemotherapy every week, the time can be extended a bit more. While surgery patients should be discharged on the same day or the next day to avoid being hospitalized for a long time. For patients with metastatic disease (disease that spreads to the rest of the body), oral chemotherapy / hormonal therapy may be selected if possible.
