CM Jairam says, "Government's crores stuck in Yes Bank'

Yes Bank of 1909 crores of Himachal Pradesh Government and other depositors are stranded in Yes Bank. In addition, this amount is deposited in 32 thousand accounts. It has deposits of 1244 crore rupees from government institutions. On the other hand, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur gave this information to the House on Thursday in the budget session of the assembly. Simultaneously, the CM said that the Reserve Bank has assured investors that the money is safe. In his statement after the Question Hour in the House, CM Jairam Thakur has said that due to the high-interest rates being offered by Yes Bank, the state government and general public had deposited a large part of their money in Yes Bank.

A sum of Rs 1909 crore has been deposited in 32 thousand accounts of total of nine branches by various depositors and investors of Himachal till March 5, 2020. Along with this, CM on behalf of Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri On the information sought in the report, five institutions have invested Rs 1244 crore after 31 December 2017.
