Kolkata: A shocking figure has emerged regarding students studying in Madarsa in West Bengal. It has been reported that the number of Hindu students in Madarsa of West Bengal is continuously increasing. The President of West Bengal Madrasa Board, Abu Taher Qamaruddin has said that the last time 11.9% students took part in the 10th grade madrasa board examination. This time this figure has been recorded at 14.26%.

According to the chairman of the Madarsa Board, there has been a significant increase in the number of Hindu students taking admission in Madarsa. The last time the number of non-Muslim students was 12.77% of the students who took the examination of Madrasa Board. Whereas this time the figure has increased to 18%. Taher Qamaruddin while talking to the press also said that in these Madarasa, Hindu students are not only studying but also bringing better results.
