Rani Rampal, captain of the Indian women's hockey team, said that as part of the preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, her team wants to play good matches against the top teams and their only focus will be on fitness and recovery. The Indian team is participating in the national camp in Bengaluru which is going to be held till 15 December. After a three-week break on Christmas and New Year, the team will reunite on January 5 and prepare for the tour of New Zealand.

Rani said, "Our focus will be on fitness and recovery." Before the Olympics, we want to play good matches against the top teams. We have to focus on the mind along with our bodies. She said," We have to do well at the right time. Given the weather during the Olympics in Tokyo, I believe the role of fitness will be important.''
