Expected to complete second phase of Metro in Bengaluru by 2024: CM Yeddyurappa

Bengaluru: CM of Karnataka B.B. S. Yeddyurappa in his speech on the occasion of 74th Independence Day has expressed the hope of completing the Metro Phase-2 project in the state. In his address in CM, he said that by 2024, the Metro Phase-2 project of 30,695 crore is expected to be completed.

CM said that the state government is adopting more and more measures to make basic facilities good. He also said that some people welfare scheme is being prepared. A station is being built on 110 acres of land near the Beyappanahalli Metro, in which several types of plants are also being planted. CM Yeddyurappa said that we have accelerated the implementation of suburban rail which is the place of global investment. In his speech on the occasion of 74th Independence Day, he said that he will work for the Rs. 30,695 crore Bangalore Metro Phase-2 and hopes that this work will be completed by June 2024.

The Chief Minister said that the plans include setting up of a food court, traditional cottage industries, a fun park for children and a place for handloom exhibition and sale. He said that there is also a plan to do four hundred kilometers of greenery near the primary canals and in place of bicycles and pedestrians.
