Srinagar: The abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the bordering region adjoining Pakistan, completed three years today. After the abrogation of Article 370, there has been a significant decline in terror incidents in the Valley. With this, law and order have also been strengthened. The incidents of civilian deaths in terrorist incidents have also come down. The Jammu and Kashmir Police have compared the incidents of the three years before and after the abrogation of Article 370, stating that there has been a decline in terror incidents in the Kashmir zone.   

Among these, law and order incidents, which took place between August 5, 2016, and August 4, 2019, were 3,686, between August 5, 2019, and August 4, 2022, there were only 438. Similarly, 124 civilians lost their lives in law and order incidents three years before 370 were removed, which has been nil between 2019 and 2022. Apart from this, from 2016 to 2019, six jawans were also martyred in such incidents, but since 2019, no jawan has been martyred in such incidents.  

If we talk about the terrorist incidents that took place in Kashmir, a total of 930 incidents were recorded between August 5, 2016, and August 4, 2019, which has come down to 617 after 370 were removed. In these terrorist incidents, 290 jawans were martyred before 370 were in force and 191 civilians also lost their lives, 3 years after the abrogation of Article 370, 174 jawans have attained martyrdom and 110 people were killed.

A day before the anniversary, the terrorists attacked:-

Let us know that a day before the anniversary of the removal of Article 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists attacked Pulwama (August 4 ). The terrorists had attacked the non-Kashmiri workers with grenades. In this incident, one labourer was killed while two people were injured, after which the security forces cordoned off the entire area.
