Prayagraj: How much and why are you taking free ration at the government quota shop, how much are the children above three years of age using the internet in the house, what mobiles are the mothers giving to small children to silence them while crying, how much is the benefit of Ayushman Yojana? You will have to answer all these questions in the Family Consumption Expenditure Survey, which is being conducted by the National Statistics Office (NSO).

A three-day regional training programme was launched at Hotel RR-In on behalf of NSO on Wednesday to provide technical and practical details of the survey. On this occasion, the subject experts explained to the statistical officers and representatives from about 22 districts of the state how to conduct the survey. Senior Statistical Officer of Varanasi Arun Kumar Tiwari has informed that the survey team will get information about poverty, inflation and consumption from the head of the household. The survey is taking place after five years. In this, 70 samples will be taken in both the city and the village in Prayagraj. Director Shivam Srivastava, Co-Director RN Singh, and Assistant Director Roop Narain have explained the purpose of the survey.  

The government is also engaged in strengthening the economic condition of ration card holders. CM Yogi Adityanath has announced that after which all the 80,000 quota shops will be developed as public service centres for the convenience of the people. This will also increase their income. The commission of all the quota holders was also increased by Rs.20 per quintal. MoU has also been done to develop all ration shops as CSCs in the presence of CM Yogi. Now the commission of The Codearo is being increased from Rs 70 to Rs 90.
