Kanpur: A woman reached the SSP office and tried to kill herself. It is a case from Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A woman was molested by her husband. She went to the SP office and poured kerosene on herself,  after seeing it, the police personnel rushed to rescue her. SSP ordered to file a complaint against the woman for trying to kill herself in SSP office. He also ordered to investigate the matter and to take strict action against the husband if found guilty.

According to reports, on Thursday, a woman reached the office of senior superintendent of police where she met SSP Anant Dev. The woman said, "She was gang-raped by her husband and his friends. The case is registered at Nawabganj police station in this regard. In the same case, the police is not arresting the accused, and her husband and friends are forcing her to withdraw the case. According to the information received in this case, the SSP has ordered information from the Nawabganj police station in-charge in the matter. After the SSP left the office, the woman tried to commit suicide by pouring kerosene on herself.

The woman police personnel on the spot took the woman into custody. On the other hand, the SSP said that "The woman has tried to commit self-immolation at the behest of the advocate and seeing this, the action is being taken against both of them by filing a case in the police station".
