Telengana: Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister, launched the Wings India 2022 aviation show in Hyderabad on Friday. Scindia praised the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry for hosting the largest civil aviation conference in Asia (FICCI).
"The Prime Minister's Gati Shakti project is a two-pronged strategy to boost all types of infrastructure," Scindia remarked. He also stated that the number of passengers has been steadily increasing, and that in order to meet the demand, multiple initiatives and enhancements will be implemented.
"It's extremely gratifying to know that we've emerged stronger," Scindia said, noting that India's airport infrastructure will grow from 140 to 220 airports by 2024. The minister also saw the static display area, which featured a range of aircraft ranging from the wide-body Airbus 350 to tiny planes and helicopters. Attendees came from all over the country for the airshow.
Aircraft and Helicopter Manufacturers, Aircraft Interiors, Aircraft Machinery and Equipment Companies, Airport Infrastructure Companies, Drones, Skill Development, Space Industry, Airlines, Airline Services, and Cargo were among the exhibitors at the exhibition.
