New Delhi: Today is the last day of the tenure of Supreme Court Chief Justice NV Ramana. On this occasion, NV Ramana addressed the function bench on Friday. He said that in 16 months, I have been able to conduct effective and full-time hearings only for 50 days. CJI NV Ramana apologized in his last function bench for not being able to focus on getting the cases listed for early hearing during his tenure. During this, the CJI said- I am sorry.

It is being said that behind this statement, he meant about the hearing in the courtroom due to a complete physical hearing for the last 3 months. Because most of the time during his tenure, the hearing was done through video conference. CJI Ramana said that I am sorry that I could not concentrate more on the listing and posting of cases.

Justice Ramana, who retired on Friday, headed India's judiciary as a Supreme Court judge for eight years and Chief Justice for the last 16 months, when he sat down to head the bench for the last time, there was a farewell atmosphere. Senior advocate Dushyant Dave became so emotional that his tears could not stop for several minutes. Many sentences of his speech came out with full throats and tears. All I could hear was that you had a wonderful tenure. You have done your duty well. As a citizen's judge, your intentions and style of functioning have strengthened the judiciary. You are leaving this court by handing it over to the safe hands of Justice Lalit and Justice Hima Kohli. However, Justice NV Ramana will be remembered in many ways during his tenure. For example, those who travel the most due to their tenure, address public events, He will be remembered as the CJI who appointed the highest number of judges in the High Court and Supreme Court. Due to his impeccable speech style, people also came to know him as 'Speech Justice of India'.
