What happens to us when we die? This is a question that many scientists and researchers have been engaged in for years in finding out the answer to. The exact answer to this question has not been found even by the best minds of the world to date. What can happen to humans after death? It has been the subject of significant scientific research for some time now.

A while ago, a Reddit thread took the answer to this question from those who had died medically and came back to life. Those who answered these questions were divided into three parts. Firstly those who did not feel anything, secondly those who were talking to another person after they died and thirdly those who only saw the light. Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center, UK, Dr Sam Parnia searched cardiac arrest patients and found that about 40 per cent of the people felt some alertness even after he died medically. Although this thing may surprise you, but from the words of the people who answered these questions, you can get an idea of what happens to a person after death?

Darkness was in front of the eyes: One user has said that  "I was getting an angiography (X-ray of the coronary artery) done and I was engaged in talking to the doctor while looking at the screen." Gradually the alarm started to go off and the people around me started panicking. My world seemed to be blurred and everything was black before my eyes. After which I only remember that my eyes were open and I heard the doctor say that we have saved him. He felt quite comfortable.

Falling down from the hole: Another user says "I once fell at the time of the presentation in class. My breathing and blood circulation had stopped. I felt like I started falling down a hole and my partner was crying for help. When I regained consciousness, I don't remember anything after coming back to life from the mouth of death. My heart stopped working because of taking heroin. It was as if I was sleeping without a dream.''

Stood in front of the wall of lights: Another person said that "I fell during a work meeting in February 2014 and for five minutes my heart rate and pulse had stopped. My last memory was said to be one hour before the fall and the next memory was said to be 2 days later. During which I had forgotten everything. I was medically in a coma. I had forgotten everything for about 40 seconds. Everything seemed very good to me."

I was missing a little too much of the time when I was being taken to the ambulance. I could see my dead body in the ambulance. After which there was a huge wall of very bright light in front of me and I was standing in front of it. Wherever I was looking, I could only see the wall with lights. After which I don't remember anything and the next memory was of my hospital.

The user continued, "There was a thick fog around me and there I also saw my most special friend. He stopped talking to me. Coming out of the fog, he told me that he too could not go back yet. If I keep trying, I'll go back to Earth. After which I did not give up and I was pushed back into my body and I regained consciousness. When I regained consciousness, my mother told me  I was dead.''
