New Delhi: Delhi Police is investigating the case of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Ankit Sharma after registering case against Tahir Hussain. However, Councilor Tahir Hussain, who is facing charges of murder, arson and inciting violence, is a wealthy man and according to the affidavit filed at the time of the 2017 Municipal Corporation election, he has property worth crores.

According to the affidavit filed in the last civic election, he has assets worth Rs 15 crore and he has a total capital of Rs 17 crore. However, during the filing of form on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the 2017 civic elections, he had informed that there is no criminal case registered against him. According to the affidavit filed during the civic elections, Tahir Hussain has studied only up to 8th standard. He also mentioned that he was pursuing high school education through open school.

According to his affidavit, Tahir Hussain is a businessman and has immovable property worth Rs 15 crore. He owns commercial buildings in Shahdara. Tahir's total movable assets are 1.75 crores. He has 6 bank accounts in many banks and has invested in the shares of 3 companies. Although a millionaire, Tahir Hussain only has a Maruti Omni (2012 model) and a bike. He has not taken any loan from any financial institution.
