Two years have passed since the tragic murder of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, and his family, friends, and fans continue to seek justice. Today, May 29, to mark his second death anniversary, his father, Balkaur Singh, has organized a modest event. The tribute will be held in Moosewala's home village, where the community has honored the late artist with statues, busts, and photographs.

Low-Key Event Due to Elections and Heat
Balkaur Singh has planned a simple gathering due to the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024 and the high temperatures. Only close friends and family members are invited, with a request for villagers to attend while discouraging outsiders from joining. "There will be a very simple program tomorrow because there are elections and temperatures are very high. We have told people outside to not come here, only the people of the village and family are coming. Public has been told to not come...Only the religious rituals will be performed," he told ANI.

Mother's Emotional Tribute
On the eve of his death anniversary, Sidhu Moosewala's mother shared a heartfelt post on Instagram in Punjabi. She wrote, "Miss you son Sidhu. We never forget a son like you in our whole life. You will always remain in our hearts, son. Your memory will always be there. This day is written in black letters in history. Sidhu Moose Vaal son."

Community Remembrance
The village has shown its respect and remembrance for Moosewala by selling memorabilia, such as coffee mugs and printed t-shirts with his images. Sidhu Moosewala, born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu on June 11, 1993, was a beloved figure whose loss is deeply felt.

A Tragic Loss
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Mansa. The attackers fired over 30 rounds, and Moosewala was found in the driver's seat by locals. He had previously contested in the Assembly election from Mansa on a Congress ticket but lost to AAP's Vijay Singla.

Earlier this year, Moosewala's parents, Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, welcomed a baby boy into their family, a moment of joy amidst their ongoing grief.
