Mumbai: The ICC has released the Test rankings after the three-Test series between India and South Africa concluded. Opener Rohit Sharma has made a long jump in this fresh ranking of ICC. While captain Virat Kohli has lost some of his points in the Test rankings. Rohit Sharma scored more than 500 runs in the series. Rohit Sharma has reached the top 10 in the ICC Test rankings for the first time. After scoring a double century in Ranchi in the last Test match, Rohit Sharma has reached number 10 in the current Test rankings of the International Cricket Council.

Rohit Sharma reached the top 20 after the Visakhapatnam Test match but was pushed to the 22nd position after being dismissed early in Pune. Sharma scored 212 runs in the last Test match against South Africa. On the same innings, he has jumped 12 places, while Virat Kohli has lost 10 rating points in his Test rankings. Virat Kohli scored 12 runs in the Ranchi Test match. Earlier, he was second behind Steve Smith (937) by just one point.

Rohit Sharma has become the second player in the world to be in the top 10 in the ICC Test, ODI and T20 International rankings.
