Mizoram: To analyze the situation of Kovid-19 in the state, Mizoram Health Minister Dr. R. A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Lalthangliana. Zoram Medical College (ZMC) officials reported acute shortage of staff at the hospital, adding that there is a definite need for more manpower. Especially with the renewed rise in COVID-19 cases. Mizoram's lone dedicated COVID hospital, ZMC, handles the influx of patients with both a COVID-19 ward and an ICU.

The 34-bed ICU is continuously operating at 100% occupancy, and needs to be scaled up immediately, it was told. Two newly installed Oxygen Plants - 200 LPM Oxygen Plant under SEDP and 300 LPM Oxygen Plant under PM CARES have been successfully installed and are in use, another 1000 LPM Oxygen Plant under PM CARES is also in pipeline.

According to a report laid out by the Police Contact Tracing Team, 85 local councils under the AMC and 406 localities/towns/villages outside the AMC reported new cases of COVID-19 during September 1 to 15. A total of 15,458 new cases were registered during this period.
