Bhopal: In a unique case of love, an 18-year-old girl living in the Khamaria area of Madhya Pradesh has become friends with a 22-year-old girl from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The two lived together since childhood studied and grew up together. Both became partners of each other's happiness and sorrow. Over time, both of them became so emotionally attached that they are no longer ready to live separately.

At present, one girl is 18 years old and the other is 22 years old. When the family came to know about their relationship, the two ran away from home. The father of the 18-year-old girl moved the high court on October 14 seeking custody of his daughter. A habeas corpus petition was filed in court to get custody of the daughter.

The father told the court that he tried to convince the daughter to stay at home instead of a female friend, but she did not agree. On the petition of habeas corpus, the High Court allowed and issued a notice to the girl to appear before it. Thereafter, the girl appeared before the High Court. The high court gave the girl an hour to take a decision. But even after that, the girl appealed to stay with her friend. Therefore, both were allowed to go together on the order of the court. Hearing the verdict, the High Court said, if two adult girls want to live together of their own free will, even the court cannot stop them. The Division Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Ravi Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra gave this verdict on a habeas corpus petition here.
