Mumbai: On the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, some rioters created a ruckus in a procession taken out at Sangamner in Maharashtra and raised provocative slogans of Islam Zindabad and Allah-hu-Akbar. Due to this, there is also talk of women being molested by the mob. At the same time, on the statement made by MNS chief Raj Thackeray about prayers on loudspeakers, the hardline Islamic organization PFI warned that if you leave the Muslims, they will not leave.

In fact, on April 14, on the birth anniversary of Babasaheb, a procession was being taken out at Sangamner in Ahmednagar district. Due to this, a crowd of 100-120 Muslims started shouting objectionable slogans with religious flags in their hands. Creating a stir in the procession, the rioters not only raised slogans of Islam Zindabad and Allah-hu-Akbar but also molested the women. The video is also going viral on social media.

The police took this incident seriously. The Maharashtra Police has registered a case against 100-120 rioters in the case. They have been booked for disturbing religious sentiments, inciting riots, assaulting and molesting women as well as under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention Act (SC-ST Act). The rioters have also been arrested in this case so far. On the other hand, the Popular Front of India (PFI), a hardline Islamic organisation, has warned Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray against opposing prayers over loudspeakers. The threat was made by the organisation's local president Abdul Matin Shekhani after the Jumei prayers in Mumbra, a Muslim-dominated area of Thane Rural. Shekani said that if someone puts his hand on the loudspeaker, the PFI will be seen standing first. He said in a threatening manner, "If you tease us, we will not leave." Inciting the people, he said that there is a lot of oppression of Muslims in the country.'' At the same time, Shekani said, "There is another slogan of ours that don't tease us. If you tease us, we won't leave, remember that. If you try to put your hand on a single madrasa, a single mosque, or even a loudspeaker, then the PFI will appear at the forefront.'' After the same case came to light, the Mumbai Police registered a case against Shekhwani for holding a meeting without permission and making inflammatory speeches.
