IMD further forecasts very light to light rainfall in parts of Karnataka

Bangalore: The India Meteorological Department predicts that several parts of Karnataka, including districts in South Interior Karnataka (SIK), Malnad, and the state's coastal region, will see very light to light rainfall until Thursday morning. Dry weather is expected to dominate the North Interior Karnataka (NIK) region, according to the weather department.

"Scattered to widespread very light to light rains likely over Chamarajanagara, Ramanagara, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar and Chikkaballapura and Mysuru districts, and cloudy conditions likely to prevail over remaining districts of the region," the Meteorological Department predicted for the South Interior Karnataka region.

The weather forecasting agency further predicts isolated to scattered very light to light rains over Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, and Shivamogga districts in Malnad. "Isolated very light to light rains likely over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, with dry weather very likely to prevail over Uttara Kannada district of Coastal Karnataka," the statement continued. The rainfall forecast from IMD is valid until 08:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
