New Delhi: As the winter continues to wreak havoc in many parts of the country, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the cold wave will increase further, not only this, there is a possibility of rain in many areas. The department has predicted that cold wave conditions will return to several states including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. With this, there is a possibility of rain again in many areas from Wednesday. Due to this, the day temperature is expected to decrease further in the next few days in many places.

The IMD has also predicted rain in several states in the coming days. Rain is also expected in the eastern and north-eastern regions in the first week of February. The IMD said in its forecast that a fresh western disturbance is expected to reach near the western Himalayas in the next one or two days. Due to this rain is expected to occur in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab between February 2 and 4.

The department has also reported that the western disturbance continues to prevail over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas, due to which cold and dry winds are blowing from the northwest direction in the plains. Most parts of the country are expected to experience below-normal temperatures in February, while Punjab and Haryana are likely to receive more than normal rainfall.
