New Delhi: The weather has changed in the national capital Delhi. Heavy rains on Wednesday (September 14) brought a lot of relief to the people from the humid heat. At the same time, light to moderate rain and strong winds of 30-40 km speed is expected on Thursday. This may lead to a slight drop in temperature. Delhi's air was in the satisfactory category in the morning. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be around 25 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 26.4 degrees Celsius.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) scientist RK Jenamani has said that the pressure that has formed over Odisha is moving towards northwest India. Due to this, winds are also blowing with moisture in Delhi-NCR and it is expected to rain for three days. He has said 'As this pressure nears, its effect is visible in the form of strong easterly winds, due to which the speed of surface winds has increased at the local level. The sky is cloudy due to moisture, which has brought down the temperature.'

According to IMD, the intensity of rainfall will decrease from Friday evening. There is no possibility of rain from September 17 to 20. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the hourly air quality index (AQI) was 63 at 7 am. On Wednesday, the 24-hour average AQI was 71 in the satisfactory category.
