Lucknow: After a long wait in Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon has now started giving relief. The temperature in the state capital Lucknow is expected to be at a minimum of 26 degrees and a maximum of 32 degrees celsius today. In Lucknow, thunderstorm accompanied by rain is also likely to occur today. Several districts including Ghaziabad, Noida, Meerut, Bareilly, Bahraich,  Varanasi, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Ballia and Agra are expected to receive rain this afternoon.  

According to the IMD, the minimum temperature in Ghaziabad can be 24 degrees and the maximum temperature is likely to be up to 34 degrees. The Met department said that the rainfall will continue in UP for the next few days. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for lightning in many areas. Rain accompanied by strong winds is likely to occur in several districts over the next two days. According to meteorologists, several districts from western UP to east UP are likely to receive rainfall on Saturday. The IMD has predicted rain in Ghaziabad, Noida, Meerut, Agra, Bareilly, Bahraich, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur and Ballia.   

At the same time, the weather was pleasant in Lucknow since Friday morning and it was cloudy. It rained lightly, but not as much as expected. Many times a day it felt like it would rain. But in the evening the clouds went away after raining for a while. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of good rain for a week. There was a respite from the heat due to cloud cover.
