Dehradun: Ganesh Joshi, a minister in the Pushkar Singh Dhami government in Uttarakhand, was attacked by a youth in Dehradun. According to the report, the name of the attacker is Imran, who is also accused of assaulting other shopkeepers present in the market. During the attack, Imran also raised religious slogans. However, the family members of the accused have argued that Imran's mental condition is not good. At the same time, after the attack, the locals caught Imran and beat him up and then the police have taken him into custody. The incident is being reported on Friday (June 2, 2023).

According to reports, the case is from Dakra Bazar in Dehradun. Ganesh Joshi, Minister of Sainik Welfare and Agriculture in the state government, was holding a public meeting here on Friday (June 2). During this, a person named Imran present there suddenly jumped towards him. Eyewitnesses said that Imran had a stick in his hand at the time of the attack. Imran tried to catch minister Joshi. However, during this time, the security personnel accompanying the minister stopped Imran and snatched the stick from his hand. Seeing the ruckus, locals also gathered at the spot and beat up Imran. The video of this incident is also becoming increasingly viral on social media.  

 

In the viral video, Imran is seen engaging with minister Joshi's security personnel. Later, the police rescued Imran from beating the mob and took him into custody. He is currently being interrogated. According to the information, Imran is originally a resident of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. He had come to Dehradun two days before the incident. At the same time, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi has told that Imran also raised the slogan of 'Ya Khuda' during the attack on him. He said that before the attack on him, Imran had not only beaten many people, but he had also waved knives at many places. According to Ganesh Joshi, people and their security personnel are alert due to the stabbing incident in Delhi.

Later, Imran's family members met Minister Joshi and described the attacker as a sirfir. According to the minister, Imran's family claims that they used to keep him tied in a room, but on the day of the incident, he did not know how he escaped from the room.
