Bhubaneshwar: With the addition of 2,819 new cases of corona in Odisha on Saturday, the total number of patients has increased to 75,537, while the number of people died due to corona has risen to 399. A health department official gave this information. Among the patients are Lok Sabha members and ruling BJD leader Manjulata Mandal. On Saturday, he told that he is isolated in his residence after finding out to be corona infected.

Mandal MP from Bhadrak Lok Sabha tweeted, "After seeing the initial signs of corona, I got the test done and corona was confirmed in the report. My health is fine and I am living in isolation at home. To those who have come in my contact in the last few days, I request them to live separately and get their tests done". Earlier, BJP MP from Bargarh Suresh Pujari also found Corona positive.

In the beginning of the week, the rural development minister of the state Sushant Singh was found to be infected with corona. In the last few months in the state, at least 6 MLA have been found corona infected. A health department official said that there are 24,581 cases of infection in the state at the moment, while 50,504 patients have become healthy so far. The havoc of Corona is increasing in the whole of India. On Saturday, 69,877 new cases were reported, the highest number of corona patients in a day so far. The figure of infected has reached almost 30 lakhs.
