Jaipur: A road accident in Udaipur district of Rajasthan made New Year's morning miserable. Two women lost their lives in the tragic road accident. Another youth was injured. The accident is said to have occurred due to the speeding vehicle going out of control.

According to the information received, the incident took place in Ambamata police station area under Udaipur city. The car is said to have come at an uncontrolled speed from Rampura near Malla Talai intersection in the city. The car first hit the bike. The woman selling the vegetable then collided with the divide.

In the accident, kahkashan sheikh, a woman sitting with the youth on a bike, and Kaliwas resident Savita Meena, a woman who sold vegetables, succumbed to their injuries on the spot. Meanwhile, the youth riding the bike was seriously injured. He is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The bodies of the deceased women are being postmortem at M Beach Hospital. Police have seized the car. A case has been registered against the car driver.
