Siddharth is back in the limelight for his'sexual innuendo' answer to Saina Nehwal's post regarding Prime Minister Modi. Several celebrities and netizens have slammed the actor for using the word "cock" in reference to the National Champion.
Saina Nehwal reacted on Twitter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's security threat at Ferozepur, Punjab, on January 5. She said, "No country can claim to be safe if the security of its own prime minister is threatened. In the clearest possible terms, I denounce anarchists' heinous attack on Prime Minister Modi."
Actor Siddharth quoted Saina Nehwal's tweet, "Subtle cock champion of the world... Thank God we have protectors of India. Shame on you #Rihanna."

Chinmayi Sripaada, Khushbu Sundar, Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, and other celebrities and politicians slammed his remark. The National Commission for Women (NCW) also issued a notice to Twitter, requesting that the account of actor Siddharth be blocked immediately since his statement was "misogynist and obnoxious."
In an interview with IndiaToday, Saina Nehwal responded to the tweet by saying, "I'm not sure what he was trying to say... I used to admire him as an actor, but this was not one of his best performances. He should use better terms to explain himself, but I guess it's Twitter, and you get noticed with such phrases and remarks. If the security of India's Prime Minister is a concern, I'm not sure what else is safe in the country.
After a few hours, Siddharth corrected his post, saying he didn't intend anything by it. In response to the criticism, the actor tweeted, "The allusion is 'COCK & BULL.' Reading anything else is deceptive and misleading! Nothing was stated or implied that was disrespectful. Period."
