Leh: The tensions between India and China regarding the Galvan Valley of Ladakh are constantly on the rise. A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said yesterday that the sovereignty of the Galvan Valley region has always been linked to China. On this, Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava has said that both sides have agreed to handle the overall situation in a responsible manner.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said that as we have already told that today (Wednesday), Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has had a phone conversation between the State Counselor of China and the Foreign Minister on the current situation in Ladakh. Both sides have also agreed that the overall situation should be handled in a responsible manner. He said that the June 6 consent between senior commanders should be implemented honestly to both the countries. Making exaggerated and untenable claims is against understanding.

Earlier on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Wednesday that the sovereignty of the Galvan Valley region has always been linked to China over the conflict between Indian and Chinese troops on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galvan Valley. China does not want any kind of clash ahead.
