New Delhi: New corona cases in the country are witnessing a steady decline. About 48,000 new cases of coronavirus have been registered during the last 24 hours, bringing the total figure of infections to 86.84 lakh. The death toll in the last 24 hours has exceeded 1.28 lakh due to death of 550 patients.
According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 47,905 new cases of corona infections were reported across the country, bringing the number of epidemic affected to about 86.84 lakh. The death toll crossed 1.28 lakh. In the meantime, 52,718 people have been healthy, after which the number of people who have been healthy has exceeded 80.66 lakh.
The active cases have come down to 5,363 to 4, 89294 due to the higher number of people recovering from the new cases of infection. The rate of health recovery in the country has gone up to 92.89, mortality rate 1.48 and active cases at 5.63%. The cases of infection in Delhi and Kerala remain a cause of concern. A new record of infection cases in Delhi has been recorded yesterday and 8,593 cases have been registered and 7,007 cases have been registered in Kerala.
