New Delhi: The incidence of corona infection in India is increasing continuously. So far, more than 27 lakh people in the country have been caught by the coronavirus and about 52 thousand people have lost their lives. The pace of increase in corona cases in the country remains at the first position in the world. In the last 24 hours, 55,079 new cases of corona have been registered and 876 people have died. While 40,612 and 23,038 new cases have been registered in the US and Brazil on the previous day respectively. There were a record 66,999 corona case reports on 13 August in India.

According to the latest data of the Health Ministry, 27 lakh 2 thousand 742 people have been found corona positive so far in the country. Of these, 51,797 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases fell to 6 lakh 73 active and 19 lakh 77 thousand people have become healthy. It is a matter of relief that there has been a decline in the rate of mortality and active cases. The death rate also fell to 1.91%. Apart from this, the rate of active cases whose treatment is continuing has also come down to 24.90 percent. With this, the recovery rate, ie, the recovery rate has become 73.17 percent. The recovery rate in India is continuously increasing.

In the country, more than seven lakh samples are being tested in a day, increasing the capacity of the coronavirus and more than 3 crore samples have been tested so far. The ministry said that the number of investigations is increasing rapidly in one day and more than seven lakh samples are being tested daily in India for the past several days.
