New Delhi: In India, deaths due to coronavirus per million population is included in the list of lowest in the world. The average daily new deaths of Corona in the last 5 weeks have been recorded. At the same time, less than 30 thousand corona cases have been reported in the country for the 8th consecutive day. In the last 24 hours, 24,337 new infected patients have been reported.
In the last 24 hours, 333 people lost their lives due to corona. However, it is a matter of relief that 25,709 patients have also recovered from Corona on the previous day. According to the latest data of the Health Ministry, the total corona cases in India have increased to 15 million. Out of these, one lakh 45 thousand 810 people have lost their lives so far. Total active cases reduced to 3 lakh 3 thousand. So far, a total of 96 lakh 6 thousand people have recovered by beating Corona.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 16.2 million corona samples were tested for coronavirus by 20 December, of which 9 lakh samples were tested yesterday. The positivity rate in the country is 7 per cent. There are less than 20,000 active cases of coronavirus in 33 states and union territories. In Kerala and Maharashtra, 40 per cent of the total active cases of coronavirus have been reported.
