India defeat Srilanka in last and Final match of ODI

The Men in Blue performed brilliantly to white wash Srilanka yesterday in the last and final match of the five match ODI series at  R. Premadasa Stadium in Srilanka. Indian team players defeated Srilankan players by six wickets.

While batting first the Srilankan team could make 238 runs at the loss of 10 overs in 49.4 overs, giving a target of 239 runs to the Indian team. 

The Indian Skipper Virat Kohli along with all-rounder Kedar Jadhav shared a 109-run stand to thrash the Srilankan players.

The Sri Lanka did not have the greatest of starts as they lost three wickets inside the first 10 overs. The players  Lahiru Thirimane scored 67 runs and Angelo Mathews scored 55 runs. After which they lost their last seven wickets for 53 runs and eventually got bundled out for 238 in the last over of the innings.

Bhuvneshwar clinched two wickets while Spinner Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal also chipped in with a wicket each. The Indian team cricket players performed great as they won the series with 5-0.

Post this,noe both the teams will square off in the lone T20I which is scheduled to be played on September 6.
