6 lakh rapid test kits arrived from China to India

New Delhi: The country has been waiting for the consignment of Rapid Testing Kit (RTK) for coronavirus test for a long time, it has finally reached the country from China. It also includes antibody and RNA extraction kits. From today, they will be sent to different parts of the country. These kits will be used in areas with hotspots where the infection is spreading at a high speed.

India has received 6.5 lakh kits in the first batch. It will be sent to various states. Assam has been given 50,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits. On the other hand, the Indian government has also approved the use of indigenous test kits manufactured in other countries such as South Korea, Germany and France due to delays in delivery of testing kits of coronavirus coming from China.

The Chinese company to which India placed this order, had delivered the stock purchased to the US. The speciality of this Chinese kit is that it tests in only half an hour and it is known whether the person has coronavirus or not. The current testing technology used in our country takes three to four hours to test a sample. This kit will be tested in hotspot areas of the country. Along with this, the patients suffering from influenza-like disease will also be examined with this.
