New Delhi: 39,070 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country and 491 people have died. In the last 24 hours, 43,910 people have also recovered from infection. According to the Union Health Ministry, the total number of infected cases has increased to 3,19,34,455 after the new cases came in, out of which about 3.11 crore people have recovered. The recovery rate in the country is currently 97.39 percent. The number of active cases in the country has come down to 4,06,822, which is 1.27 percent of the total cases of infection.

According to the Ministry of Health, 4,27,862 people have died in the country so far due to the corona virus, which is 1.34 percent of the total cases. The infection rate in new cases was recorded at 2.27 percent. This is the 13th day in a row that the positivity rate has been reported below 3 percent. At the same time, the weekly positivity rate is currently 2.38 percent. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 17,22,221 samples were tested across the country on Saturday. Since the beginning of the epidemic in the country, more than 48 crore samples have been tested so far.

The same 50,68,10,492 doses of the corona vaccine have been applied in India so far. According to the new data of the Union Health Ministry, 55.91 lakh doses were administered across the country on Saturday. So far, 39.43 crore persons have been given the first dose and 11.24 crore persons have been given both doses in the country. UP (5.35 crore doses) has the highest number of vaccinations in the country followed by Maharashtra (4.66 crore doses). More than half of the new cases in the country have been registered in Kerala.
