Australia on Tuesday won the 2nd Test match against India by 146 runs, leveling the series 1-1.

Resuming at an overnight score of 112/5, the Indian batsmen failed to respond Australia's bowling attack and fell in quick successions to eventually bundle out for 140 runs in their chase of 287-run target.  On fifth day, all eyes were on Hanuma Vihari and Rishabh Pant but they led to continue their sixth wicket partnership and dismissed for 20 and 36, respectively early in the morning sessions.  Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon dismissed Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant and Umesh Yadav in quick succession.

This is Australia’s first win since the ball tampering incident in Cape Town earlier this year.

Nathyon Lyon won the man of the match award. After winning the match lyon said that It's amazing to play a role in a victory, haven't had one in a while. He further thanked everyone. On taking wicket of Virat Kohli, Lyon Said,  When you come up against the best players, to compete against Virat and take his wicket was pretty special. Big thanks to my brother, I'm not a very good batter so just trying to play my role.
