New Delhi: The Indian Army has captured the blacktop post along with thwarting Chinese infiltration attempts on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). On the night of 29–30 August, the Chinese Army attempted to infiltrate, responding to which the Indian Army not only captured the blacktop post but also uprooted the Chinese Army cameras and surveillance equipment.

The Chinese Army People's Liberation Army (PLA) had installed cameras and surveillance systems on the black top posts located on the southern shore of Pangong Lake. The post has now been captured by the Indian Army and Indian Army Personnel removed the cameras and surveillance equipment. According to the information given by the sources, even after the camera and surveillance system was installed on the black top post, the Indian Army pushed the Chinese army back and occupied this post strategically. This post falls in the Indian border on this side of the LAC.

Sources said that China has automated its border surveillance system and has installed cameras and sensors to monitor the movement of Indian soldiers. Even near the height near Thakung, the Chinese Army kept a close watch on the height and movement of the Indian Army.
