New Delhi: The Indian Army paid rich tributes to one of its brave warriors on Friday (October 14). This warrior was a member of the Dog Unit of the Indian Army. Zoom was injured in an encounter with militants in the Anantnag district on Thursday. After this, he was treated, but Zoom's life could not be saved. The brave army dog was given a final farewell at the Chinar War Memorial in Cantonment, Badami Bagh, Srinagar. Many army officers were present on this occasion. Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen ADS Aujla and several other officers were present.

Let me tell you that the military dog Zoom played a very commendable role in Tangpaw, Anantnag. During this time, he not only helped in identifying the location of the terrorists but also made a big contribution in annihilating 2 terrorists. Zoom was hit by two bullets during this encounter. Even after being injured, Zoom also identified the hideouts of other hidden terrorists. The Army's PRO has informed that due to Zoom, the army was able to kill two Lashkar terrorists.

Zoom returned from there after the mission was completed, although due to excessive bleeding, he felt unconscious. Zoom was then admitted to the Army Veterinary Hospital in Srinagar in critical condition, where he breathed his last. Zoom died at 11.50 pm on Thursday. During his two years of service, Zoom made significant contributions to many terrorist missions. During this time, he made his own identity with his bravery and energy.
