Lucknow: In addition to the day-to-day hearing in the Supreme Court on the Ram temple issue in Ayodhya, intellectuals under the banner of Indian Muslim for Peace here on Thursday advocated the giving of a piece of disputed land to the central government in Ayodhya. Muslim intellectuals held a meeting in a hotel in the state capital to find out the Ayodhya case out of court.

In this meeting, it was proposed that the piece of disputed land should be given to the Central Government. It was told in the meeting that even if the Muslim side wins in the top court, they will still offer to give the land to the center, provided the government ensures the safety of other religious places of Muslims. Along with this, a proposal to get the matter resolved by negotiating outside the court was also proposed.

In this meeting, former Lieutenant General Zameeruddin Shah said that the decision of the Supreme Court would be welcome, but it would be better that the matter be resolved by mutual reconciliation, so that Hindu-Muslim unity can be maintained.
