Railways to help overcome oxygen shortage issue, launches oxygen express

New Delhi: Amid ever-increasing corona infection cases in India, the situation has become so serious that oxygen (Medical Oxygen) is becoming scarce in many states of the country. Many major hospitals across the country are currently facing oxygen crisis. Indian Railways has launched Oxygen Express as an aid to address the shortage of oxygen amid corona crisis in the country.

The Oxygen Express of the Railways has left Lucknow Junction, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, for Bokaro on Wednesday night. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said in a tweet that oxygen express is being sent from Lucknow to Bokaro to load liquid oxygen from Bokaro. He further said that oxygen express has been flagged off from Lucknow to Bokaro to load liquid oxygen from Bokaro, which will ensure oxygen supply to Uttar Pradesh.

Piyush Goyal also said that oxygen train will be run there in view of the demand for oxygen from Madhya Pradesh. More such trains will be started in a few days.  Tell us that the demand for oxygen is increasing amidst the corona crisis in UP. More than 33,000 cases have been registered in 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. While 187 corona patients have succumbed. About 6,000 new cases have been reported in Lucknow alone.
