New Delhi: If the trains of companies running private trains come later or earlier than the scheduled time, then they will have to pay heavy fines. Indian Railways has released a 'Performance Indicator' draft for private train operators. In this draft released on Wednesday, it has been said that private train operators will have to maintain 95 percent time restriction for the whole year.

Private operators will also have to give correct information about their income. They can also be fined for giving incorrect information. Also, if trains are canceled due to them, they will also have to pay a fine. According to the draft, if a train arrives at any station 15 minutes late than its scheduled time, then it will be considered a violation of punctuality. Let us tell you that according to the railways, each private operator will have to pay Rs 512 per kilometer as freight charge to use the railway infrastructure according to each train. If a train arrives at the station 10 minutes earlier, the private operator will pay a 10 km haulage charge as a penalty to the railways.

Officials say that all these rules are being implemented so that private operators take care of punctuality and operate trains on time. The draft states that if a train is late in arriving at a station due to the Indian Railways, in the same way, after taking out the percentage, the railway will give 50 km of transportation charge as penalty on every operator.
