New Delhi: Indian Railways has been strongly stepped up due to increasing cases of coronavirus. A fine of Rs. 500 is being imposed on any person found without a mask. However, this amount is going to the state government exchequer and the GRP is working to cut the challan.

Railways are now running 230 trains in the country and 80 more special trains are going to start from 12th September. Railway personnel are being asked to take precautions regarding corona infection. But even Government guidelines and a hefty fine warning, a large number of people are negligent. This campaign has been launched for such people. Though people also make many excuses for not wearing masks, the railways are no longer going to be complacent for such negligence.

The railways have clarified that any person can be fined if found without wearing masks. According to media reports, Indian Railways is going to introduce 80 new special trains from September 12. Passengers will be able to make reservations for these new trains from September 10.
