New Delhi: Indian Railways is going to give a big gift to farmers from today. Which is going to benefit the farmers a lot. Actually, Indian Railways is starting the operation of Kisan train from today. So that the raw materials like vegetables and fruits of the farmers can be transported to the market at the earliest, so that it does not spoil. Railways has prepared this scheme for fruits and vegetables.

Its operation is starting from August 7 ie today. Railways will operate its first 'Kisan Rail' service train between Devlali in Maharashtra to Danapur in Bihar. It is noteworthy that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced to run 'Kisan Rail' for the transportation of products like perishable fruits and vegetables in the budget presented in February this year. Under this Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, arrangements will also be made to transport the crop of the farmer along with cold storage.

According to a statement from the Railway Ministry, "In this year's budget, it has been announced to run 'Kisan Rail' to establish a better supply chain for perishable agricultural products. The Railway Ministry has planned to run the first farmer train of this variety from Devlali, Maharashtra to Danapur on August 7 at 11 am.
