New Delhi: Indian Railways has decided to run private trains along with private trains on the tracks. Soon private trains will be seen running on the track. The government has announced that private trains will start running from March 2023. Indian Railways is also planning to run private freight trains along with private trains on the tracks.

It is expected that when private trains start running on the track, private freight trains will also be announced. Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav has said that before the rollout of private trains in 2023, a railway regulator will be prepared. Chairman VK Yadav said that once the DFC is ready, we are planning to run the private freight train on the tracks. They will invest in wagons and containers. In this way, the regulator will have the responsibility to regulate passenger trains and freight trains.

He said that the decision to run a private freight train has been taken by the secretary's groups who have considered all the possible economic consequences. The private container train has been operated in a limited manner since 2006. However, other types of goods trains are not allowed. It is cheaper to send goods by railway than by road.
